The past dozen years has seen 21 of the world’s greatest freeride mountain bikers descend upon Virgin, Utah’s otherworldly terrain for the mind-blowing Red Bull Rampage event.

RED BULL RAMPAGE POV

What’s it like to rocket a mountain bike down 1000 feet of vertical drop along a spindly mountain spine? With his thrilling POV GoPro video, Antoine Bizet gives viewers a taste of the experience — minus the bone-rattling landings.

Another perspective on the race’s dramatic setting can be enjoyed in the picture above snapped by Paris Gore, which captures Tom van Steenbergen just as he launches his mountain bike into the wild blue yonder.

FIRST PLACE: KURT SORGE

In 2017, Canadian Kurt Sorge became the first three-time Red Bull Rampage winner by stomping an amazing final run, highlighted by two huge backflips off the iconic cliffs of Virgin, Utah.

SECOND PLACE: CAM ZINK

Cam Zink’s run, that same year, saw him pull off an incredibly steep line from start to finish that had the crowd gasping at two incredible back flips off flat step-downs.

Zink had also stomped his second run and looked to be challenging Sorge’s first place, but crashed doing a front flip on the last jump as he looked to eke out a few more points to impress the judges.

THIRD PLACE: ETHAN NELL

Ethan Nell showed tons of speed and fluidity in his 3rd place run. Even when he landed his flat-spin backflip deep he managed to keep both of his feet on the pedals.
