John Ross sets an NFL scouting combine record with 40-yard dash in 4.22 seconds

On Saturday, Washington Huskies wide receiver John Ross rocketed his way into the NFL record books months before running his first play in the pros.

At the NFL Scouting Combine, Ross ran a 40-yard dash time of 4.22 seconds, breaking the previous record held by current Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson (4.24).

The NFL Network dramatically superimposed Ross’ run with those of speedsters Julio Jones and Odell Beckham Jr. from previous combines. Similar to Usain Bolt’s dashes, Ross creates the most dramatic separation over the last 10 yards.
